Re: De-scenting your rubber boots
I use a boot drier, and rotate my 2 pairs of muck boots. I also have used baking soda, activated charcoal and have stuffed newspaper inside the boots. Newspaper is easy and very absorbing of moisture and odor, also a nice option when camping and it's easy to clean up. All work to some degree. I plan to wash both pairs with scent free soap before the season starts, then just focus on hunting.

Re: De-scenting your rubber boots
I wear rubber boots and cannot remember the last time I witnessed a deer cutting my track although I'm sure it happens. I use both carbon powder and baking soda. I'm not a huge scent products guy but one thing that absolutely does work is to take chlorophyll pills. I start a month before season and I take one daily. If you don't think this helps try it. Before long you won't even necessarily need deodorant! You've gotta keep taking the chlorophyll every day. Not just when you are hunting. They use them in nursing homes to keep down odor. I'm suprised more people don't talk about using them but it's probably because the hunting industry didn't come up with it. Anyway these also drastically reduce foot odor.

Yes sir started mine three weeks ago as well as applying lavalin to feet, pits and other odor producing areas. Two products that absolutely work.

Zeolite or activated carbon dust sprinkled in before and after each hunt. My boots are never wet when I put them back on the next day and no odor that I can detect.

I have Alphas that are going on their 4th season. I only wear them hunting, so they have been used maybe 30-40-50 times and sit for long periods of unuse. They don't have any foot-smell. Used 'em twice so far this year...

Look online for a product called Nullo. In my opinion it works better than plain chlorophyll. I also think that it far surpasses any carbon clothing. It attacks human odor where it originates.

Be careful... a quick google search on "Nullo" will give you some very odd results!

Re: De-scenting your rubber boots
I've never had any problems. I just ordered another bottle. I start out with 1 a day for a few days, then 2 a day and eventually 3 a day by about Oct. 20 whenever I want to hunt my best spots. Your boots, your stool, everything from your body will emit far less odor. I checked with both my family dr. and my cardiologist before starting, and they both gave me the green light. You do have to use it the entire season for it to be effective, starting 1 or 2 weeks before the season starts.

The green urine and stool part might be difficult to get used to... Haha.
