I just got permission with a place to stay during October. Beds thoughts on anything. Have not stepped on the area yet. I hunted to the west about 3 miles from this location. Any thoughts on layout of land.
Any thoughts on this area.

I'm reason they call it hunting and not shooting.

Looks better if you magnify to about 125% with computer.

Might help to post an aerial view as well. It looks swampy which is usually easier to see on a aerial.

I like the looks of it, a ton of great features from what little I have learned. How pressured is it? I start with the waterway transitions.

Each one of those points of high ground in the swamp should be checked out. That looks pretty promising to me for buck beds.

That's what stuck out to me immediately. Great looking spot. I also really like the peninsula to the south (or 6 o'clock) where Cypress lake meets the Meto creek/stream/river. I have had success with that style of terrain feature in the past on many occasions. Are the waterways capable of taking a canoe? If so, it may be time to buy or rent one if you don't have one already.

If you want to kill a deer you have to be in the woods.
