Any thoughts on this area.

Unread postby Ghost Hunter » Fri Aug 26, 2016 12:48 pm

I just got permission with a place to stay during October. Beds thoughts on anything. Have not stepped on the area yet. I hunted to the west about 3 miles from this location. Any thoughts on layout of land.

I'm reason they call it hunting and not shooting.

Might help to post an aerial view as well. It looks swampy which is usually easier to see on a aerial.

I like the looks of it, a ton of great features from what little I have learned. How pressured is it? I start with the waterway transitions.

Each one of those points of high ground in the swamp should be checked out. That looks pretty promising to me for buck beds.

That's what stuck out to me immediately. Great looking spot. I also really like the peninsula to the south (or 6 o'clock) where Cypress lake meets the Meto creek/stream/river. I have had success with that style of terrain feature in the past on many occasions. Are the waterways capable of taking a canoe? If so, it may be time to buy or rent one if you don't have one already.

Looks like an awesome spot! Bet it holds quite a few greenheads in the winter as well as a few good bucks.

I would look for beds in the areas of the white circles.

The red x's are in places that I think would be good rut spot with a west tinted wind. Would be even better with boat access.
