Packed my stuff away last week, tagged out and couldn't find anyone who could make it out in the woods so I also have those off season blues. I am looking forward to some shed hunting and off season scouting but man that bow opener is a long long ways off.

done? i agree with dan. i nearly froze yesterday in my stand with the wind slamming me, i just couldnt stay out of the woods. im hoping i can get out tonight but i got repairs going on hre at the house. its colder yet today and the wind died down. i am sad when i cant kill anymore for the year, but it dont end. ill be scouting, shedding doing land management etc...i got trees i gotta get cut up plus we are logging this year......matter of fact another slammer just showed himself on camera in kenosha. that makes to slobs im after now instead of one. i casnt believe another slob showed himself for the first time so late in the year, i love it ---late season

Yup - Yesterday was the end of the season for me.
I planned on getting out for the last few hours, but got caught at work.

Hmm... Sit for deer or write up an employee to bring to HR, what a freaking day!

Packed everything away yesterday, if I had a bow tag left I'd be out there till the end.

Not much time left for me.

Hunt this weekend and trying to schedule all week off between Christmas and New years. Crossing fingers bucks are still holding horns that far out.

My hunting will be limited too Todd till the end of our bow season (December 31st) being I'll be working allot from now till then. I just came back from doing some scouting In the woods I hunt, about 2.5 feet of snow where It Isn't drifted. 3 to 5 feet where It's drifted. The deer have really cleaned up on the food that was there. Deer numbers I'm sure will be down In the woods. I may head out here shortly and go to the other side of the woods that I didn't look at today and throw a stand up and hunt It the rest of the day. That's If there's some decent sign over there. Hunting In this stuff Is a blast but walking In this knee deep stuff can be a work out that's for sure.

Good luck Todd.

I still have to Jan 31st 2011 in the metro zone!

I cant hang it up yet, once done with that I will fling arrows in the basement and get ready for turkey hunting with my bow. Meanwhile continue to log onto this forum for therapy so that I dont get depressed or saddened.

Oh yeah, suck on all my venison sticks and jery while washing it down with my favorite beverage.

I'm not sad or done!

buck tag soup for yet another year here in NY....i just try to find the glory in knowing no more trophies will be smacked 2/3 years before their time (by other guys)..no more gun shots or orange coats dotting the tree/field lines....but spring/summer are so damn long
