Lol.. I have removed some clothing.. Broke ice and Waded through a creek amd put my clothes back on when I reached the other side.. I thought I was really clever until I found a shallow spot about shin deep not more than a couple hundred yards down the creek on my way back out.

Flip flops, but I don't recommend them for climbing.

I have some Under Armour Heat Gear that works great in hot weather. Very thin and breathes extremely well. Almost like wearing nothing yet still covered up. Wish I could still find the stuff but unfortunately don't think it's made anymore. Gonna have to find an alternative.

They still make the heat gear. It's nice stuff. $50/shirt. I had the pants but they ripped pretty easy. I've got a big but though so that may not be a fair assessment.

The truth is if you are hunting in 90 degree heat with high humidity you are going to sweat and be miserable in the stand. That's what makes you a beast.

ASAT 3D leafy suit with a lightweight polyester long sleeve shirt & my polyester hunting pants. Wish I could get away with shorts but the briars would tear me up even with a leafy suit on.

Lightweight Poly/cotton ripstop pants and jungle boots with lightweight wool socks. Walking thru the tall wet morning grass, this stuff seems to dry out fast once the sun hits it.

No doubt the only way to be comfortable is to stay home!!!! I can step out the truck & be sweating by the time I get my boots on. What I normally do is dress in the truck & jump out running or jump out & spray down with bug spray!!! The heat doesn't annoy me nearly as bad as the skeeters.

Like that combo - definitely give that a try.

So that's why it's called the show me state.

I shot a buck once early season in Missouri in a pair of house slippers

I like the Cabela's Insect Defense System for hot weather. Has permethrin built into it so you don't get the ticks. Use it alot for summer scouting and stand hanging for that reason.

Do these clothes work for skeeters? The reviews online seem to be mixed.

I haven't really noticed to be honest. I still get bit on my hands and face pretty bad without a thermacell. But they work great for ticks. I've washed the same pair about 50 times and found the first one on me in 3 years of wearing them the other day. Eventually the chemical will wear off but that's pretty good use out of a pair of lightweight pants IMO.
