Good starter bow?

Unread postby welded34 » Thu Aug 11, 2016 11:55 pm

My girlfriend is looking at getting a bow. What do you guys or girls think would be a good starter bow for her? Probably around a 500 dollar budget. Thanks for any input.

I'm sure there are people who will chime in with a lot more knowledge than myself but my first package bow was a Parker wildfire. I believe it came all set up for around that $500 range. My girlfriend shoot a diamond and that is also a nice shooting bow. Both are nice bows but I really liked the Parker and for the price of one all set up it's really a nice bow. Good luck on the search!

Have her shoot everything and pick what she likes best. If it's gotta be pink so be it.

If I were setting someone up with their first bow I would make sure there is a lot of adjust ability. Weight and draw length.

Diamond Infinate Edge Pro. 5-70lb draw weight, 13-30" draw length, 30" ATA. They retail between $349.99 and $379.99 (bow, sight, quiver, rest, and stabilizer). Basically comes ready to shoot. If you get one on eBay you also can find them with a release, 6-arrows and case for the same price as those sold at the hunting "box stores". Many archery shops sell them as well.

For what it is it is a solid starter bow and great shooter. We borrow one at the shop right now for my 6 year old son to shoot. I will be buying one for him for Christmas.

Great starter bow for anyone.

You should see what forge has to offer. They're a beast sponsor and from what I hear are awesome and affordable bows. Their website is down now but I'd try to find a phone number to call and talk with them.
