Best 2016 Moon Days
I don't have the Moon Guide, but for those that do, If I wanted to go spotting within the next month, what would be the best night to do it based on the moon?

I don't know your zip but you can put that in here along with the month and go from there. http://www.solunarforecast.com/solunarcalendar.aspx
Hope this helps.

This might help some overhead and underfoot times closes to the times you want to go are basically what a moon guide goes buy. These times in the evening or morning closet to a full or new moon are the best of all the days

Re: Best 2016 Moon Days
Does the chart in the link use OH/UF to determine best days or is it different. I think most of those charts dont use OH/UF like is most commonly practiced on here.

Re: Best 2016 Moon Days
Wonder how this correlates to the last few years kill threads?
I know that when getting pics from my cameras and while glassing I usually always check the moon charts and I just have not seen any [glow=red]CONSISTENT[/glow] correlation of moon position to buck movement. I have seen some correlation to bright moonlight nights and later morning movements. I recommend everyone keep a log of buck movement and then when you get a pic or glass one record the temp, moon phase, moon location and see if you can formulate patterns.
I do know there are some factors that effect overall animal movement - just watch the cows and livestock as they all seem to bed and feed same time from pasture to pasture. I personally believe temperature effects overall deer movement far more then moon position.

Ditto
However, general observations in season and only some instances out of season...
I don't glass - that's a little perverted - IMO

My thoughts also. Ive tried to find a direct correlation to the moon over head or underfoot. Even when the moon is high during feeding times it hasn't made a difference in my area. driving and checking fields or trail camera inventory. But I won't disagree with a guy who sees it. I have my thoughts on what I've seen over the years. And how I've had an increase in movement in the later morning or early evenings.
