Any ideas????

Unread postby elite_archer » Mon Jul 25, 2016 1:37 am

I am making a mock scrape in one of my killing plots. I am placing it near the center, i would like to get posts about 10-12' high. But the posts will have to link together because i have no equipment to hammer them down from 12' high. Any ideas on what kind of post i should use that links together in 4-6' sections? Thanks guys!

Why not put it on the edge of the killing plot? Use a live tree - you can bend a sapling down and tie or use a big zip tie to hold it in place.

Or why not just inside the woods from the direction the buck would come?

Two options, 3 point auger on a tractor, or dig by hand with a post hole digger. Manual method is not as bad as it sounds
