Let me see if I can put this in perspective.....

if your Deer season starts Oct 1st, You now have 127 days, 18 weekends until hunting season - for most of us weekend warriors that is 36 DAYS to prepare...... if your season starts in Sept even less...... Where did this year go already????

Its disturbing how quickly time goes. I guess I am a weird one, I can't hardly stay out of the woods and thinking about hunting from snow out until leaves on. Once the leaves are on hunting is really on the back burner for me until the evenings get a little cool. I don't know why it happens but it does.

Every year time seems to fly by faster. Good thing is we all think about hunting year round. Most people don't even have it on the brain till after Labor Day.

(FL) I've got June 20 before I find out IF I've been selected for any quota hunts on WMAs. Then the second application period goes into effect on some properties...other properties have to wait until July 21 to try and claim any unclaimed permits. Other properties don't start offering permits until Mid-July. I'm starting to get dizzy!

Even I with nothing but time on my hands. Can't believe how fast things are going. For you younger guys. It gets worse the older you get. Time seems to slip by faster and faster.

Looks like I better get my azz in gear!!!

It's a busy world out there.
You can fool some of the bucks, all of the time, and fool all of the bucks, some of the time, however you certainly can't fool all of the bucks, all of the time.

Summer always seems to go by faster than anytime of year for me. Still have some trees to prep. Hunting will be here quick

September 17th for MN. Corn is 3-4" tall some places and beans are up too. Once crops are up it seems summer always flies by.

I've still got some stuff to do... Multiple sets to prep, cameras to deploy, and still have some door knocking to do.

I'm just glad I had all that time off this spring. I made 24 brand new sets so I'm more than prepared.

This spring has flown by for me. Lots of travel for work has left time for spring scouting, but little time for prepping my private land sets. I should knock that out this weekend, along with setting up a couple of trail cams that I plan on letting soak all year.

Come on September 9th!

Yeah season will be here before we know it. I have been trying to come up with my opening weekend plan. I have a few draws left and have my fingers crossed, hoping I get permits for those. I missed on the kansas draw. I know of a few bucks on a couple different public areas that made it through season and I'm looking forward to see what they put on this summer.

September 1 can't come fast enough. Looking forward to a lot of time in the woods, whether sweating or freezing, makes no difference to me. This will be the first year I'm planning on being out there a LOT. Managed hunt registration for here in the KC area is July 1. I'll put my bid in for an early December hunt. Wish me luck.

Summer always flys by. Bayshorebuck and I were just talking about that we will be summer glassing before we know it. Bring it on.
