Hope you didn't miss the part about me not caring to hear how he hunts? No - but if just a wall impressed me, and If I hadn't done some of those mounts and knew the story - well I can see how someone would cling to his stories of rattling, grunting, etc...

I think the general public has no idea how much "big money" is involved in the hunting industry. People ask how a noel feather, Marc A, Don (Mule deer hunter can't remember his name) can do what they do - I think it is because their egos require attention and then they get sponsors and demands and expectations they cannot fulfill (nor could anyone else) so they turn to cheating to keep the money and notoriety coming in.

I said it before, WALLS DO NOT IMPRESS ME - the man, his passion, actions, words and his experiences tells me about who he really is. The single most knowledgeable man I ever met about animals and behavior did not hunt. He was a retired biologist and farmer and just like watching wildlife. He knew more about his farm and what deer were doing daily then I will ever hope to know. There is no doubt in my mind he would have slayed a lot of great deer if he chose to hunt - obviously he did not have a wall to back up what he said.
