Unread postby EthanHogan1 » Tue Jan 19, 2016 1:25 pm

I know there are some members on here from Indiana. If any one is willing I would love to ask some questions about a couple public land spots. Message me if will to share some knowledge. Thanks guys!! I live in WI just planning an out of state hunt

You should post what areas you are looking at so we know if we know anything about them or not.

Grud, I'm pretty open to any suggestions. Nothing is in stone yet. We are looking for a place to go in southern Indiana. We have looked at Harrison-Crawford and Hoosier stater forest. I was just curious if any beast members had suggestions on any properties.

Yeah I know grud... It is easy for my family in TN to get there. I am young, and I am use to traveling to hunt and so forth so it doesn't bother me. Just wanna get everyone together and have a fun place to hunt. Just getting us all together is what it is all about. Family and hunting

But yes, it will hopefully be during archery season. I still have to check in on Indiana law about x bows because that is what my dad and uncle shoot due to there age and working in a factory for to long ha

Crossbows are allowed in all of Indiana's deer seasons.

Harrison - Crawford has good hunting ...not too pressured early. However, Hoosier national as far west and close to the Ohio river you can get has some whoppers as well.

Poaching is a major problem. I don't know about anyone else but in the area I live, just north of Louisville, you rarely see bucks in any open areas by roads...shining is basically ineffective in the Summer from what I've been able to tell. Maybe at 3 am they might be out but I've tried several times and not seen any mature bucks in ag fields by roads. And I definitely have never seen anything like what is in Dans DVDs where he is filming the shining.
