This would be highly unlikely, packs kind of carve out their own territory so it was probably just one pack. When wolves hunt an area don't think of them just moving through in one direction, they are all over the place and I've seen them loop back and criss cross in all kinds of crazy patters. If you see dozesn of wolf tracks in your area it might only be 3-4 wolves making them. Deer are good at looping around humans and doing just about anything to avoid predators, the wolves know this so they seem to build some randomness into their hunting in hopes of surprising a deer. I've seen them do these loops in person and the amount of tracks they can lay down in just a couple of hours is amazing.
