I got one on that deal.
That thing is huge! I was impressed with the stand overall, but...
Gonna send mine back. It is just more than I want.
I can see it getting tangled up in brush & branches really quick.

Was not trying to hijack the thread here. So, before I decide to send mine back, will somebody tell me what I may be missing about a stand being that big? I see it being a potential headache due to its size.

I was thinking the same thing about the size. I used a buddies once this season and it was not too bad to hang but I wasn't in thick stuff. I have my assault still, I figure at $162 it is worth having it around.

Its more of a comfort/security thing. These bigger stands are popular with outfitters.

Got mine today. It is a big stand but, I have smaller stands. I plan on using it as a rover type stand hang and hunt and leave hanging or to move in closer type of stand (observation). Can never have too many stands or options.

I think if your looking for a single hunt hang and unhang stand the Maximus is too big for that. The XOP Silver may be better suited for that. If you have a long hard tote into the bush the Maximus is too big for that. I plan on using it for hunt and hang and leave up for another hunt type situation.

I believe it's around 16 pounds. It is a big stand.
