Dressed weight - What does a big buck weigh?

I just laugh at 200 lb doe stories.

Around here dressed*all guts removed*:

1.5 y/o 80-120 lbs
2.5 y/o 110-130 lbs
3.5 y/o 140-170 lbs

Older than that 160-190 with a rare one going 200

My biggest dressed 285 lbs Illinois corn fed

* weights are at there max in Oct and 10-20 percent less in Dec *

I think this is probably pretty darn accurate for this area of NY. My buck this year was most likely a 3.5 yr and weighed 148 dressed. I have only seen 1 deer from the stand that I believe would have gone 200 or more dressed. This was the first year I started weighing them before butchering.

Them are some biggins, my rifle buck i shot this year weighed 170 dressed on my big game brand scale

Around here the bucks eat well and put on some good weight. Almost every single 2 year old I have seen is right around 165-170 lbs dressed with a few slightly heavier. Once bucks hit 3 years old they start pushing the 200 lb barrier.

I'm not going to post the answer till tomorrow so everyone has a chance to guess. I will add a few more pics . Once again, in case it sways your guess, pay attention to the date on the trail cam pics. He was shot in 2013.

Looks like a blocky bodied deer and at that age I would guess he was in the 180-190 range. Big old gut. How do you know his age?(just curious)

In 2011 I was told he was 6.5 or 7.5. In 2012 his rack shrunk if it changed at all. 2013 he shrunk considerably. I'm not an expert on aging deer, but you know they're up there when they're on the downslide.

I'll attach a pic the neighbor sent me a couple weeks ago. This was the year before I gained permission for the grove where I hunted him.

I'm bad at guessing weights by sight so that's why I weigh them all when I kill one.

Looking at those pics I'm guessing 210 lbs dressed but he actually looked much heavier the year before he was killed.

Then the pic in the truck really has me confused. He looks smaller again.

We rarely field dress deer on the farm since we can take them straight to the gimble, my 2014 2 yo 8pt weighed 232lbs on the hoof. We don't bother grabbing the scales unless it is an oinker of a buck. That is in Kentucky. I never shot a buck that weighed over 125# in Fl.
