Posted property on public
You guys come across many people who post private property signs on public land?! This is in Michigan and this soul needs to pay for stealing from the American people! To bad the DNR is a joke and won't do a thing about it, so the people must take action

Happens all the time in WI. I don't let the signs stop me in those cases.

I'm still confused because this is a crime against humanity!! That is trespassing X 10, this person is stealing from all of us, how bout I move the public signs on to private, then they can just deal with it and go around them

Use it to your advantage, know the proper property lines and the signs may deter some and give you an advantage.

I notice state land and public land signs keep disappearing in my areas.

Re: Posted property on public
I don't know about a crime against humanity, but its certainly wrong. Happens all the time around here too though. That and people will actually move (or remove) the public land boundary signs, I have seen that too.
I doubt your DNR will "do nothing about it" if you report it in a competent fashion and show them where it occurred.
On the flip side - I bet people trespassing onto private from public happens far more frequently than this.

Real bad. That annoys me like the guy that leaves a stand in a funnel and hunts it 3 times a year and think he owns the spot.

But it's OK for you to camp on state land that doesn't have camping allowed, per your other post???

A buck will see you three times, and hear you twice, but he's only gonna smell you once.

Re: Posted property on public
I know someone who hunted posted public land. The land owner came out and tried running him off. He said no and offered to call the sheriff. I guess he turned around and walked away. I've got maps with GPS for my public grounds and I haven't ran into that problem.

Re: Posted property on public
I've seen this before to but some of the public is privetly owned and the states allowed to use it for public for tax breaks, so the posted signs had me wondering if that part is just off limits even though it's on the map? Idk good question I guess

I never saw a sign moved in the Kettle Moraine S.F. but I notice that many of them are gone.
