Gain access to 4 new private land properties.
Find 10 new quality setups on public.
Get 4 more cams.
Spring scouting trip(s) to southern Ohio.
Find a shed (I'm terrible at it).

Re: Off-Season Goals? What about you?
Being new to the beast hunting style, I really want to spend this off season learning as much as possible about finding and hunting these bedding areas. I am also going to pick up at least one new book, probably the one about how the moon affects hunting.
I have 4 public areas I want to get into and extensively explore, especially while looking for sheds and beds.
I mainly though want to go through the private ground where I have most of my success with a find tooth comb and find these bedding areas. Overall I'm looking forward to logging some miles on my boots, spending time with my family and dog while doing it and just being in the great outdoors! Everything learned will just be a great bonus!
My main goal is getting a crack at the slob I'm after this coming weekend as it's my last hunt of the season. Going for broke!

Re: Off-Season Goals? What about you?
Scouting Ohio and Wisconsin this spring.
Sept 25-28 ohio
Oct 27-Nov 6 Wisconsin
Nov 7-nov 13 Kansas if drawn
Just leased 2 properties in southern mi for 2016
So I'll be there when conditions are right.
I also have Kentucky for there gun opener if not drawn for Kansas or I'm tagged out in Ohio and I haven't tagged out in Michigan or don't have a target buck.
Late season Ohio MZ and Michigan MZ on leases.
And there is a possibility of if no Kansas...Missouri.
I will no more once results from Kansas come back.
Also putting on points for Iowa. I decided to go all in on mature buck hunting. Done procrastinating about it.

Sleep in every weekend.
No Shortcuts. No Excuses. No Regrets.
Everybody's selling dreams. I'm too cheap to buy one.

Re: Off-Season Goals? What about you?
I'd like to scout a few new areas, but my main focus this spring will be fine-tuning my current spots.

I'm gonna follow BigHunt around all season. He's like a big buck magnet so I figure I can kill his leftovers.

Fine tune my early season setups. Throughly scout those areas that I found big bucks live in. Find more beds.

Re: Off-Season Goals? What about you?
Since I've been lurking on here for over a year and have yet to hunt Beast Style my list is long
1. Learn as much as possible on HB and DVD's and books to figure out how to scout and what to look for.
2. Figure out which public land spots to start hunting
3. Scout
4. Figure out how to get quiet with a mobile set up
5. Scout
6. Understand how deer are moving on the private land I hunt, instead of sitting in the same old stands all the time.
7. Scout
8. Figure out how to use wind and thermals to my advantage
9. Scout
10. Practice my shot
11. Scout
12. Take notes after every hunt and scouting trip, including pictures and maps (i.e. start a hunting journal)
13. Scout
14. Finally find time to do all this with four kids under 5 including a newborn and not making my wife mad

LOL! Isn't that the entire point?
If you want to kill a deer you have to be in the woods.
