I checked and have 3 now. Never heard of the slam. What about the 900 club? When your 6 biggest whitetails add up to 900" or more.

I think it was 5 whitetails at one time. They must have changed the rules to get more guys into the club.

There still is. Its a north american big game club.

To qualify for the Super Slam of North American Big Game®, a hunter must have registered the legal taking of all 29 of the traditionally recognized species of big game animals native to North America. For the big game hunter, there is no greater achievement and many have labored a lifetime to reach this astounding accomplishment. At one per year, it would be a 30-year quest. Some, lucky enough to get two or more, could cut that lifetime goal down a little. This gives an idea of the magnitude of the Super Slam.

The original Grand Slam Club actually began recording the achievement of taking all the recognized N.A. big game animals long ago, in the early 1970s. Grand Slam Club founder Bob Housholder was the one who began keeping up with hunters who had done so. With this history in mind, GSCO has brought this most difficult milestone to the forefront of the hunting world, and given it the prominence it deserves.

When a big game hunter chooses to register their trophies with GSCO, they are permanently recorded and preserved for future generations. Since GSCO has been keeping up with the Grand Slam of North American Wild Sheep® for well over 50 years, it is among the things GSCO does best.

If its a super slam, I would expect no less than all 8 sub-species.

No, it was 6. A 150" average. I heard of the 900 from Jim Shockey.

Look up my friend Tom Hoffman, he was the FIRST to do all 29 animals, where every animal was a Pope and Young specimen. He lives near me in NY. I've hunted with him. You never hear of him cause he's such a humble guy. Real interesting dude. I ate mountain lion at his house.

Interesting. I asked a couple friends and they are too thinking 5 @ 180"+

800 club is 5 at 160"+

700 club is 5 at 140"+

and so on.

Regardless, you must be doing something right if you meet the requirements of any "club"

Dang Spyser, looked up Tom Hoffman. There's a short video on YouTube about him. His trophy room looks like a zoo. I like his attitude he's a make it happen guy for sure.
