If the girlfriend wants to go we'll go out, but I'm not planning to myself.

My son and I are going to give it a try. I didn't get a deer this year and my son has not gotten one since 2012. It makes no difference to me if I shoot a doe in Oct , Nov. or Dec. One deer a year is one deer a year. Makes no difference.

No, since areas I hunt has a low deer population, I will not be participating.
Good luck to those of you who are going out!

I'll be trying one last evening for a buck with the muzzleloader tomorrow and that will likely be it for the season for me. One buck with the bow and two does with the rifle already, and the areas I hunt seem to be down in overall numbers.

If we limit our harvest it doesn't matter. I limit my harvest to 1 deer a year. I doubt I will get a deer this year. My son never even saw one. In 2014 I shot a small buck, 2013 I shot a doe , 2012 Chas shot a bear and a 3 point buck. In 40 yrs of gun and 35 years of bow hunting I have only shot 22 deer. About 2/3 were bucks. The problem comes in when guys post on Lake-Link when they claim to have shot 11 does in Price co. One guy, hunter 0104 shot 14 does in one year. The few deer I harvest , I think I am entitled to shoot one in December. Just have to limit yourself.

I decided against it . I hate this late doe season. plus if I really want a doe I can go out with archery gear till the end of the year. even though my buck tag is filled I hate that the guys that haven't filled their buck tags lose out on 4 days of hunting. ive been their many times and I just don't want to support this dumb doe hunt.

It does matter in the form of pressure and stress on the deer.

I'm going to, plan is to kill at least 2 this weekend. Was going to wait until late bow but killing does just doesn't give me the same thrill it once did. Going to fill some tags then scout late season.

I am sure the kill will be light this year. I saw one hunter on public at 4pm walking around. The only other thing I saw was a moth type insect about 1/2" long. Too warm when bugs are still flying around.
