Re: michigan shiawasse late bow hunt ?
Just hunted a few days in there with the muzzleloader.....tough hunting this year with warm temps and no snow. Deer numbers are nowhere near what they used to be either........I could count on two hands how many I saw, and you can tell they've been hammered by guys all November judging by the areas they are in now. Only heard maybe 4 shots over the three days I hunted. Still a fun but exhausting hunt though. Good luck.

I drew an either sex tag there several years ago but never went because I just didn't have much interest in going alone. I hope you find someone. Good luck.
You cannot invade mainland America. There would be a rifle behind every blade of grass.

I've always wondered... is there something special about that place? I have never really researched it, just see people talk about it once in a while...

Good luck man. Shiawassee is on my radar for next year now that I've had some luck being mobile/cyber scouting.

It's a restricted hunt and there are some slobs running around every year. I don't doubt Ack a bit that it can be tough sledding this time of year.
Go to Mike Avery's blog and scroll down until you find the guy that posted some rubs from in there. Then open the comments and look at the pics from other guys they took of rubs. You will catch on quick, I'm sure! It has a state and a federal refuge area.

The state area is a draw hunt too. Is that area any good?

I don't know much about the state area... The federal side has always had some monsters. I've had various friends hunt there since the seventies.
