For a pre-hung Alpha for sure, but I almost never hunt pre-hung. I always found the Alpha to be a wretched brush catcher and far from mobile-friendly. If I hunted in open old growth forest I might take the Alpha, but I usually am in the thick stuff and the old Assault fits perfectly behind my frame and almost never catches. The Windwalker NEVER does, but that's just plain crazy hunting out of one of those.

I think xop is dealing with the right Chinese folks cause I do not see any problems with my stand(silver).
6 point offset bracket rocks.

I may get a maximus for late season when wearing bulky clothes.

Alpha...I have both I think the platform is worth it especially for a behind you shot which happens on occasion. The extra weight is so minimal. I think the cables get in the way on the assault the angle feels tighter. I do believe I have assault 2 also but I prefer to hang and cam lock the bigger v on the alpha.

I use 3 sticks and assault for marshes. I sit in smaller trees with lots of limbs usually so smaller fits better. Also if it's early season and hot so less weight never hurt and I use a molle system on it don't even know it's there.

Hill country it's the alpha all the way 4 sometimes 5 sticks nose bleed action. Bigger trees ,bigger V , bigger platform it's alpha for me. I'm telling you climbing up some steep frosty icy Nov. Hills 4-5 sticks is a load(I carry more crap in rut too) but well worth it.

If I could only have one it would be alpha

Ib have the original stands so not sure about what is offered now. I usually saddle hunt, but when I do grab a lone wolf 95% of the time it is my assault. I've never found it to be too small.
