Re: Half million dollar buck
After a few monthes of not knowing ware this buck was or if he was alive one of my good friends text me a pic of him he was healthy and looking good. A few nights later he came out to there food plot and one of the brothers went to shot him and his firing pin didn't go off and he lived another day. The next night he let his brother try and the buck came out at 30 yards chasing a doe and this was the end of the story for the half million dollar buck. He shot him at 30 yards. Much to our surprise he was much bigger than we thought. The buck had six inch mass and his right g2 was 14 inches with huge main beams. He scored right at 180 inches as a 9 pointer. We put all the pics together that all of us had and figured out what deer it was for sure. Two years ago I passed this buck at 10 yards he was mid 50s at that time. Didn't end in my favor but these guys are friends of mine and are deer hunting freaks. This year they both killed 200 inch deer with thear bows and so far this buck with a smoke pole. I'm sure glad I let this deer live to watch him grow into the giant he did. Good luck to those still out.
