Scouting in the rain a "free pass"?

Unread postby whitetail4ever » Mon Oct 26, 2015 3:28 pm

I have been wanting to scout a new piece of property but do not want to just barge in there a blow things up obviously. Does scouting in the rain technically allow you to get away with laying down some tracks undetected? I see that it is going to possibly rain on Wednesday and would like to get out and have a look...let me know what your take/experience is on this!

The woods has so much to offer to the human soul...

It certainly helps... How hard it rains will determine how much scent is washed away.

scout it in the off season - hunt it with stand on back - I will be honest - if its public land - my biggest gripe is that you have people scouting while people are hunting ... but what can I say - that's why its publc land - anyone can use it at any time for any reason ... rock on...
