Paralysis by analysis.

I have big problems with this from others in my work life.

Funny though I overthink almost every hunt. When I think about it my best successes in hunting have been following my gut.

My biggest buck was killed because I didn't like my setup. I got out of that stand and moved to a place to observe. Glassed him in a spot that I would have never exoected and setup and killed him the next night.

Hunted this AM, back in the woods, in a swamp, from a buck bed I found in March. Looking for a cruiser, as the swamp connects multiple buck and die bedding locations.

Nada. Had some guys come in and prep lanes (illegal) across the swamp from me, so I got down thinking I had nothing to lose. Went to the bed and sure enough, he was home. Kicked him up. Should have hunted it this evening. Oh well, I figured all was lost. Looked for a tree because I forgot to in March, found it, but it had a hang on in it.... Also illegal. Gr. Such is life hunting public land.
