Posted this on Archery Talk but figured I would throw it up here as well..

While climbing up a tree this evening I watched my Summit Specialist bend before my eyes. The entire "V" and arms have bent so that they're now facing practically straight up. This happened at around 10-12ft off of the ground but it could have been much worse.

Thank you for the safety heads up. I hope you contact the company, so that they can ensure that it doesn't happen again.

Thanks guys, it completely ruined my hunt where I was set up to be chasing a 4.5YO WMA monster. Instead I was dropping pins and making arrangements in case I fell.. I've gone ahead and posted to Summits Facebook and sent them an Email as well. They're an excellent company with some quality gear, I hope they stand behind their product and their customers. That could be the deciding factor if I continue to do business with Summit.

Glad you're okay, that could have been horrible.
