thermal tunnel question

is there a thermal tunnel on south facing slopes?

A south facing slope should have a thermal tunnel develop when the wind is steady from the north.... the higher the slope, the more noticeable it normally is.

i keep getting this wrong...i meant to post "does a north facing slope have a thermal tunnel on south winds?" how bout if theres a lake at the bottom?

X2 the only thing I would add is that there will be a thermal wind blowing up hill whenever the sun is shining on the valley floor...
