Re: 2015 Buck line up...
My wife's buck. Nov 7. Her very first deer. She,missed two real good ones this season and with persistence was able to finally take this one down. Bout a 5 or 6 yard shot. He piled up about 75 yards away. We got in the stand super quiet that day walking painfully slow. Saw a few deer right away and then I noticed him skirting a doe bedding area and pines downwind. Couldn't see his rack before he slipped into a little draw. 2 grunts and then turned over the long can and he came in on a string! I heard him grunt before I saw him. There was a scrape and rub a few yards away and I think he was going to check that to see what deer were up there making the calls. He never made it to that scrape!

Re: 2015 Buck line up...
Saturday 12/05/15-Jefferson County, PA.
One of my smallest bucks. I took the doe earlier in the day.
He came running through the hemlocks and for whatever reason he appeared to have a fair bit more bone on his head...I looked and said "solid 2.5yo..100" or so..". BOOM. I was completely shocked when I walked up....I still have 5 days of rifle season off...I'm happy...i know some guus go many years with never seeing or killing a buck...but at the same I passed on bucks bigger than him...I passed countless 1.5yos..
I will certainly be more careful in the future...lesson learned...with a fair bit of time left i wouldn't have shot had I known he was a 1.5yo..
