Sitting. I always try to shoot sitting and practice this way too. Helps me to say focused better. But I always bring my pin from the top down and often times squeeze off too early even when target shooting, so that could have been a thing.

Hate to say it but that sounds a lot like target panic.

X2.. That's a pretty standard sign of TP. I can help with this if you think it might be. Just PM me.

Also, keep your head up. Happens to everyone. Good luck

In the video the shot looks ok, depending on how high you were and how close the deer was......my issue starts when I don't see the arrow pass through. To me unless you are shooting big old mech heads or a very light bow, that spells you hit something solid. An arrow stopping hit usually leads to question more times than not for me.

Looks like a dead deer to me with the shot no exit hole hitting that opposite shoulder

That's not possible.

OP How heavy are your arrows, how heavy is your poundage and what type of fletching are you shooting?

Ok it went through the back straps.
I'm reason they call it hunting and not shooting.

I shoot complete opposite .....I bring my pins up ...I always have ...no one ever really thought me . I thought my self..

I do the same thing... why? Because early on in my hunting I shot a bunch of deer high... starting low has helped me

I too sit when i shoot... the shot just looks high to me. All a guy can do is move on

With a striker broadhead... I'm guessing you definetly hit bone or it would have zipped right through him. I'm thinking shoulder high or the thick part of spinal column

With that kind of setup you got bone for sure. Punching shots is a main reason I went to a light bow. Getting a bow drawn and knowing I can hold it a while really helps me settle my pin right where I want withoutpunching the trigger. He 51 is super quiet also.

I was just curious. lowering your poundage and upping your arrow weight are two of the best ways to quiet down your bow. The loudest part of the bow is my feathers but i like them too much to change.

How much do you practice shooting the bow from an elevated position?

I shot 55 punds last year, but uped it because I wanted more arrow speed.
