Re: Camping while hunting
I regularly camp or stealth park. It really cuts down on expenses and keeps your head in the game. I look forward to it every year. Have fun!

What area of Clark County? I assume the southern portion? (Feel free to not say...)

Can't see why you wouldn't. Can't beat a little adventure.

Re: Camping while hunting
I have done it in wi before. This season I bought a cot and am setting up my truck as a mini camper for quick afternoon/ next morning trips to state parks. Next step install LED tape light on the topper.

Re: Camping while hunting
When i go i dont make fires and sleep by the creeks to hide my presence. I got a hammock that i sleep in and take it down, cover it with a camo tarp that i use for the rain fly, and stuff it under a downfall/boulder when i go out to hunt. make sure youre not by any game trails....last year i woke up to a big steaming pile of bear doo-doo about 15 feet from my hammock...you can bet ill be packin a 45 this year

Some of the best venison I have every had has come from a stick over a camp fire. I don't even remember if we had seasoning or not but the stuff was amazing, I think I have to do it again some time.
We do a late-season muzzleloader camping trip every year in January as well as a spring camping trip for turkeys. No matter what's on the menu, it just tastes 1,000 times better than eating it at home! The environment/experience certainly adds flavor for sure.

Re: Camping while hunting
Thanks guys good to hear. I was afraid that the deer would smell or see you while your hunting and it could spook them.

Re: Camping while hunting
Don't camp where you hunt, just like you don't do certain things where you eat. Then deer won't be bothered. I do it for archery and firearm
