I would have to definitely agree with the majority here. If the kids are showing interest it's hard to pass that up.

My oldest really wants to go scouting. All she knows is that she gets to go for a walk on the woods and maybe see some cool stuff.
I have to do some light scouting trips for this reason. On those trips we go in the hardwoods where it is easy to walk and the bugs aren't too bad. She thinks it is pretty cool to be doing the things dad does.
She has learned to pick herself up after she falls and wipe away the blood and tears if she gets slapped with a stick. She is a tough cookie and keeps coming back for more.
If she is this driven without knowing about the actual hunting portion I think I'm in trouble once she gets a taste of the hunt itself.
