Book idea

Unread postby grangger » Wed Aug 26, 2015 9:03 am

I would like to see some of the guys from this site come together to write a book! What a great idea. What do you think?

Dan has a good book and I'm sure other guys could put a good book together also.

Sounds like a good idea. You could have chapters written by different members.
You can fool some of the bucks, all of the time, and fool all of the bucks, some of the time, however you certainly can't fool all of the bucks, all of the time.

That's what i was thinking to. I'd like to see you write a chapter about hunting river bottoms. Magicman54494, a chapter or two about tracking and edges. Lots of other people could contribute.

I think of this site as one giant book, except the book is always changing, updating and best of all I get to ask the author or authors questions any time I want. It's really better than a book. 8-)

A book would eliminate a lot of boilerplate.

That really is a good idea. Or an annual magazine/booklet with tactics and stories/hunts from the year. I'd buy that.

I have to be honest - I have read 7 or 8 deer hunting books from the ( pros ) - I really didn't learn too much - I come on this sight and its very refreshing to hear some very sound and good scouting and hunting tips as well as thermal patterns - great sight - thanks hunting beast

It would require some major coordination but is a good idea.

When I found the beast in 2012 I spent the next two years reading through every old thread on here. I at least skimmed every single one. Many of the best threads are from years ago. You want to really have an education, do that. There is no other resource out there with as much information as the Beast on hunting whitetails.
