A frustrating but great sit this evening

Unread postby Schultzy » Fri Oct 29, 2010 3:08 pm

Saw 3 mature bucks this evening which Is a 1st for me In one sit. The biggest and oldest of the 3 was moving an hour and a half before dark. The other 2 weren't far behind at about an hour before dark. It's getting to be that time folks. By far the most Inches of rack total that I've ever saw In an evening hunt.

It's hard to say but to be honest I haven't saw many fawns with doe's since I started hunting In the middle of October. Too many doe's I think and not enough bucks the last few years to breed all of these doe's. Of the 10 deer I saw yesterday evening, 3 of them were bucks (two 3.5's and a 5.5 year old). The others were 5 doe's and 2 fawns. Only 2 of these doe's had a single fawn with them. The other doe's had nothing with them.
