Predator stealth fleece

Unread postby jmaas07 » Tue Aug 11, 2015 11:49 am

Trying to get an idea of how the predator stealth fleece runs size wise. I'm 6'1" 235...usually wear xl in jacket/pants. Trying to get an idea if I need xl or 2xl. I would like some room to layer. Anyone close to my size that wears these that could offer some insight on what size they have?

Jacket runs small, pants run big.

im 5'10 240 with a 38 waist. the 2x jacket fits like a xl on hoodies, the 2x pants were long on me(had the old lady take off 4'') but the waist is straight

Does the 2xl jacket give you room to layer or does that get too restricting? When it gets cold I wear a few layers under the jacket.

I'm 6'3" 205 and the pants are a little big on me and the jacket fits pretty good. I would go with the XL jacket if I were you and I would bet the pants would fit just fine. I can put my insulated carhart bibs under my pants and not be to tight. If anything the jacket seems to run a little short for me...would rather have a parka style

I got a polypropylene layer, then a smart wool layer, then the jacket. just got the fleece set this year so I couldn't tell you how warm that system will keep you. movements bearable its not restricting just snug. if you've lifted or got wide shoulders like I do the chest will be the tightest part. sleeves stay down when my arms are outstretched and the tail seems to not ride up, plus the pants have belt loops in them if you tuck it in. seems like a nice system if the seams don't pop when I start climbing trees

Agree with JackKnife. Chest and shoulders are definitely the tightest from working out. I wear am XL in this suit, but a 2 XL would likely work better in the coldest periods. I wear a L pants.

Couple more questions for you guys who have used this suit...is it fairly warm? Block the wind? is it constructed well...built to last?

Yes, yes, and yes for it category, but it isn't high end camo. You get what you pay for. I've had to make some minor repairs to the stitches.
