Nah none here. You think Davy Crockett or Daniel Boone ever killed a 170" whitetail? I'd doubt that too!

I have only killed one, a non typical, it would be nice to get another.

For B&C a typical only needs a 160"..correct?

In all my years of hunting, shining, scoring, and looking at other people's deer and photos, I have yet to see one break 160 from my area. The two best I have seen hunting would have probably been in the 140's.

I have seen a few shining deer. Here is a 195" gross a buddy of mine got 10 years ago. Found it the next day, and as you can tell, coyotes did a number on it.

1 way over (214" non typical) and 1 just under (164'' net). One thing in common with both was they looked fake. Bother were killed by other hunters. The first time I held a 150" rack it made me appreciate how big a deer has to be just to reach that mark.

A non-typical needs to gross 195 inches to be a gross booner....if its less than that its not a gross booner.

I think a 195 gross NT is quite a bit rarer than a 170 gross typical in general.

170-180 inch gross non-typicals are a bit more common (with a typical frame smaller than 170) and sounds like a lot of guys have seen that type. Very few have enough inches to make 195 tho.

I have shot four bucks over 160 gross and not a single one of them was a gross booner.

I think we all can agree that a 150" buck is one he(double hockey sticks) of an animal. Now add 20" plus and you can see how incredible a true booner is. They get in your blood. But I gotta admit anything over 120" really gets my heart pounding.

Definite no for me also. Biggest I've ever seen from my stand was probly in the mid-140's. I can't even imagine what a Booner would look like on the hoof in archery range. I hope to experience that one day.
