One other quick question. . if a buck is bedding on a hill point that should leave a draw on either side of the point. If u were morning hunting that bed, would he not use the draw to j hook the bed? there for u could position below the bed on the edge of the draw?

My experiance has been mostly coming up the point straight into the natural wind... Where they hook into the wind is the spot to be. On the hill above the hook you would be up wind.

here's another thought...how many times have you been on a stand,looking at that edge or toward the thicket/bed/oak trees,and here you look and a buck walked right out across an open field,and you never even looked out there? he crossed that field in a minute and now there he stands looking up at you!!!!!!
