Fine Tuning My Approach

Unread postby Twenty Up » Fri Jul 24, 2015 12:54 pm

With this being my first season hunting buck beds, and with deer seasonitis in full swing I've been looking over how I will be approaching some beds I found this Spring while scouting. The one bed I am posting has to be my favorite due to the trail camera pictures I have gotten.

Key:
White Lines- Field of View in bed
Blue- Entrance and stand placement idea

How does this look with the given East/ESE wind which this bed seems to be used with..

You have done everything you can, now it is up to the buck to cooperate! Good luck with it man.

Keep us posted.
You can fool some of the bucks, all of the time, and fool all of the bucks, some of the time, however you certainly can't fool all of the bucks, all of the time.

You have the info you need. maybe pull the cam right out of there to resist temptation to over check it and burn up the area

This will be a PM hunt only, and fortunately the creek has steep banks and the red line that cuts where I plan on putting in my stand. I followed rub lines on both sides which allowed me to find the funnel which crossed the creek

You know me too well! Haha I pulled the camera in early June to avoid the temptation. Let it sit for a month and only set/pulled it mid day with a good wind
