Question for Wisconsin big woods beasts

What is the farthest away from a buck bed have you found a scrape? Is it possible to use a scrape to help narrow down buck bedding?

Without knowing where the bedding is, could you narrow it down by a scrape and a Ariel photo?

No... Scrapes can show up anywhere. Some scrapes are near bedding, but just scrapes in general, no.

Not all scrapes are created equal that is for sure.

One of the best strings of trail cam photos I ever got was set up over a primary scrape. I ended up going back to that spot to scout in the spring and I found buck bedding nearby. When i found that scrape in mid october there was fresh pee and tracks in it.

other scrapes though, I have found and they only appeared to be used one time. All of the ones like this I found in random spots near human access or out in the middle of open hardwoods. Scrapes like that dont really mean a whole lot from what I can tell.
