Ground n pound chair?
Anyone have any tips on a good chair for ground hunting? I need light n quiet. Im 6'2 235 lbs so I also need something that wont break. Most of my spots are 1/2 to 2 mile hikes so light weight is essential. Comfort is also important. Any ideas?

If you have trees available I highly recommend the hunting hammock chair. I replaced the fabric seat with a net seat. This is the one I reach for most of the time when I am grid hunting. If no trees I like the waldrops pack seat

Im using huntmore chairs. They are a little pricy, but high quality and quiet.

Good luck finding a huntmore. There aren't many out there for sale after production stopped and the company went up for sale.

That Waldrops pack seat looks like it would work well but it isn't cheap.

Neither am I but the prices I have seen were from $160.00 to $200.00. Anyone bought one recently?
I used a ChairPqk last year for my gun hunting. It isn't that well made but it was 75.00 and the chair is comfortable for me. I might strip the pack off of it and put a better back on it. One of the zippers for the pack let go last season.

Re: Ground n pound chair?
After looking at these chairs I clearly need to reconsider what I think a hunting chair should cost as they are all pushing $200.00

Re: Ground n pound chair?
Another option is the MOJO Critter Sitter. It is intended for predator hunting but might work well for deer hunting on the ground as well.

I personally like my Double Bull Magnum chair. Has to be the magnum, standard version is a nut crusher. I think the magnum weighs about 6 lbs.
