I'm ready....
When that big buck walks towards you this fall, concentrate on your breathing and get your eyes off his antlers.

Re: Anybody else getting antsy?
OK, I will be the first to say "no" then. There is still some really good fishing to be had before the deer season opens! Heading out right now to hit Lake Geneva until 11 or 12 tonight.
But, the bow is dialed in and I'm taking 1/2 dozen shots a day for muscle memory. Got 2 cams out that I checked for the first time yesterday. One old doe, a doe with a fawn and a small 7 pointer is all I got total on 2 cams since June 24th. That might be the reason I'm not jacked up yet! I would be more excited if I got a decent buck on my glassing trips and and cam though.

Re: Anybody else getting antsy?
Looking forward to season here still haven't found enough great stands for the entire season. I have 12 preferred locations still want to find 8 -10 more spots. Still going out every weekend with the lone wolf on my back searching. I'm headed to a new area tomorrow Dan and me discussed at scouting workshop very excited to scout it.

Ansy yes but I would never want to hit fast forward....anticipation is the best part
I have all the big picture stuff in place, just need to prioritize where and what I will be hunting which will take some work between now and Oct.

Re: Anybody else getting antsy?
Yes and no.
Planning out my hunts for the fall I can already see this season will come and go way too fast. For some reason it feels bittersweet. I will be spending less time in the deer woods than normal since I have two young children now. The quality of most of the areas/properties I hunt have been steadily degrading over the last 5 years or so. I have had 0 and I mean 0 time to post-season or summer scout the year, I literally have not stepped foot in the woods since last deer season. Also it is another year I won't make it out to the midwest or out west to hunt…
I don't know where the time goes, I think I am having a quarter life crisis…

Absolutely but thankful for the time. Got a new spot to still figure out.

Feel your pain man... decimated deer herd and two little ones can make it tough. It's half my fault for not venturing to greener pastures tho.
Still trying to keep hopes up though!!
