New member / Hill country
Hey guys, Im a first time poster/ long time reader, (Like everyday for almost a year.) I was orginally shown this forum by Cbigbear. Our land is very different in louisiana and mississippi then the farms and open hill country that 90% of the topics are discussed on this page... I will admit was very narrow minded when i first started looking though the old post on this page, but one thing i couldn't get out of my mind(from reading though a few post) is that deer HAVE to bed somewhere! ive spent countless hours, days, weeks, walking prime public and private looking at sign deer were laying down and just couldnt figure out the missing piece of the puzzle. That is until i broke down and purchased the Hill Country DVD.... wow, what a game changer. I never really put that much effort into finding exact deer beds until now. And i know im not alone, its almost comical to think I would walk though the woods and on field edges looking at and studying nightime rubs and scrapes and hunting them, knowing they were probably 99% nighttime activity! and doing the same thing over and over again! the way hill country bedding and thermal tunnels, and 1/3 ridgetop activity is broke down in the video is mind blowing to me... In short, thanks for producing a informative well put together DVD! Happy hunting -Chase

Welcome to the Beast! Like you, the area that I hunt is different from 99% of the areas that are posted on here. But, after watching Dan's DVD'S I'm soooooo much more confident in my approach then I used to be!

Welcome and enjoy!! Have you seen the Marsh Bucks DVD? Should be more applicable to your situation. Plus there's some things mentioned in it that can apply in other circumstances also.
