Took me 4 days to get him on camera

Looks like he is a little behind last year... maybe this is the year he starts to go down hill. Last year was his best rack at 7yrs of age

Nice, that's the buck you took a practice shot on last fall right? you better get him this fall or we will have to re-name him Bucky's Waterloo or something like that. :D

How old is he this year - 7 or 8?

8yrs old... I have pics from 1 to 8 (probably a couple hundred).. sheds with neighbor from 2yr, 3yr, 4yr, 5yr, half 6yr, and 7yr

It is difficult to find sets... let alone 5 and a half yrs worth! I think if he only a 120s buck this year... I just let em live and see how long he can make it

Stash - I knew once July rolled around I'd go all out pyscho... we are getting close  Buddy has one on cam that is a for sure a Booner lookn deer already... growing conditions have been awesome and we have HIGH expectations this year

I had three good opportunities at him last year and I blew them all (I hunted him probably 25 sits)

I saw him way early June... he looked like a horse. No limp

Cool.
You can fool some of the bucks, all of the time, and fool all of the bucks, some of the time, however you certainly can't fool all of the bucks, all of the time.

Here he is at peak dominance (I did see him once at 4yrs old tailing a doe, no other buck wanted to get anywhere near him)... 4 and 5 he was super cautious and rarely seen in daylight

Here he is at 5

Good to hear the fire is still there. I knew of a couple of excellent elk hunters that just all of a sudden up and quit.

I love the black and white photo that shows how much bigger a truely mature buck is than a 1.5 year old.

Might be kinda ironic if he steps out for my 10yr daughter during the youth hunt this Oct and she puts em down!
