Shot this little fatty last Sat. down SW WI.
My camera guy fell down and neglected to get any posed pics so this is all I have. I actually really like the pic. It shows just how I found her and it put a smile on my face.
It was a great hunt. Took about an hour for her to finally come in and some very non-agressive, but consistent calling to keep her interested.
Now the freezer's hunger is satisfied and the big boys better beware!

What kind of calling did you do to bring her in?

Re: Popped a doe in Sconnie
Hi Nurse,
I use a very soft Burp or what I consider a contentment call. I mimic what I've heard does with their fawns do while feeding. This particular Gal was about 80 yds. out and her daughter kept wanting to drag her up the hill to the bean field. Well that wasn't where i wanted her so every time they started up I would give just a tiny little coaxing "burp". She would barely acknowledge she heard it but then her next move would be in my direction. Like I said this went on for about an hour when I finally killed her at @ 16 yds. It was really cool.
