Do you guys use the deer trails to access your hunting spots in marshes? I found a spot where I would need to do that. And also the only huntable tree/brush, is right on a trail. Is that spot going to burned after one hunt?

Most of the time if it is out in the cattails I do use the deer trails. You really can't get thru cattails efficiently without using trails. I consider most spots one and done. At least for 30 days or more.

Always best to avoid I think but sometimes it's your only option. I know some spots in the cattails where you either bush whack or use the trails carefully. Just try not to go too far on them.
And they are best used for afternoon hunts where the deer are bedded and will be heading away from their bed and hopefully towards you.

Re: Using deer trails in marshes
Most times it's the only option especially in thick cattails. Not worried about my scent going in because I only hunt it once and only go as far as I plan to setup. The shot is planned before the deer reaches my scent anyway.
