I can usually get away with a Tuesday to Sunday hunt for my extended hunt every year. I have a lot going on this year but if I can get away it will be the 10th through 15th of November. Ive done a week earlier the last two years but this year I think I'm going to switch it up. Weather is usually a touch cooler than the week before and from what I've seen from my trail cam surveys, the most daytime pictures I get are usually from the 5th to the start of the gun season here in Illinois.

I would tend to agree with these dates, especially considering your traveling all the way across the country and won't have much time to scout.

This. I've hunted north central Ohio and this time period seems to be the best. First two years we'd go the second week and things were always just starting to break open right as we were leaving. It has been invariably about one week behind our activity in wNY.
