My 2014-2015 season in France.

Unread postby Liberty-Hunt » Mon Mar 30, 2015 7:54 am

This last season I didn't login a lot on the forum (new job, my home to renovated...). I did prefer past my "free" time into the woods...
But, today I wanted to take a few minutes to share my 2014 hunting results.
Quite poor, but well hunting is not just killing.
About my 2014 US trip you all may know what I did.
I will not bore you again. This is the link of the post where I related this adventure:

Just a word, it was amazing like always for me in your fantastic country!

In France, with my bow is just missed.
Well, in Aguste to show to my son a nice place fulled of nutrias, I shoot a nice size one just between is tow eyes with a small game point at just 2 yards!

The animal, was stunned for 2 or 3 seconds, moving on the floor like a carp out of the water.
But, the time I used to put the arrow back on the bow (the same one in fact, because it was super easy to get it just in front of my feet...),
this small but quit solid little buster get back on the water and soon as it get it, it vanished on the closer trouble water.
I can tell the most important, my son is hocked about hunting anyways!
...
On the open season, I did some small game hunt:

Funny for sure!

More important hunt for me the deer hunting!!!...
The 8th November 2014, I participated like I use to do know in my associated hunting place to an baiting hunt.
I was blessed to get this roe doe, running at +/-45m.

...
some hunt later, the 17th January 2015, the last day of the year in our territory I get a small buck.
He was running like at 60m, my 1st shoot was to much in front of him. He stop, and run back as fast as he could.
But, it was my day so he fell on the second one. A nice bullet, in the chest.

Ho this is our old fashion way to carry our game. ;)

We don't have processor like in the US, so we proceed ourself. This is me on the work:

As you can see, I weired a nice hat, it's a kind of answered to the tragic
terrorist attack in Paris a few days before.

I hope you enjoyed this small testimony.

I enjoyed your story and pics. I love small game hunting also. And those roe deer look like a fun unique animal to hunt :)

Definitely the best place to share our passion!
8-)

Just a question:
what do you really think about my English?
Some time I'm not sure to be clear, because it append that I don't understand some post.
My English level is just intermediary so...
Please, be sincere, I'm waiting for a severe criticism.
Thanks.
