I dread the early and late gun season for does.
At least in my area the deer numbers are already down
and they just keep wanting to wack them.
After next Jan-Mar it will be even lower.
Right now on 8 sits and zero sightings. I only use each stand about twice in 7 days and this has all been on private land with no pressure except me which I keep it hopefully very limited. Damn the DNR!

Holy crap Peak! thats a lot of pressure pure stand! I try not to hunt any spot more than 3 or 4 times in one year.
A deer can probably smell you have been there for 4 or more days. I would think every time your scent starts to dissipate you hunt again...

Just a little clarification 1 stand on each property im using mostly as a observation post. I can pretty much cover a lot of area visually and I am not seeing anything around. But I do understand what you are getting at and that is why I am leaving the other stands alone until last weekend of Oct. But I should still be seeing some movement. I will post some pics a bit later so you can see the difficulties that I have.
