http://youtu.be/fv5g44w3-Ac Anybody ever tried this way? I hope to be able to try it in October when season opens back up. It sure looks a lot more efficient.

Re: Skinning deer
Not a bad way at all.
If I don't shoot a buck, i actually prefer hanging them by the neck. First thing I do is skin up each leg like he did and cut around the knee area and above ligaments on rear quarters. .I make an incision that circumferences the neck and then run my knife from the back part of the neck to the tail. After that you simply skin enough where you can grab and then you pull each "half" of one at a time. Fast, easy, and no hair.
Lots of ways to skin them. I found hanging by the neck works very well

Re: Skinning deer
the golf ball method IMO is the most efficient and keeps most hair off a deer. Not the method for a buck to be mouted

Golf ball method does work great especially on thick skinned deer i keep a golf ball stuck on a limb where we clean the deer but somehow I find a way to get hair on the meat. Hopefully i will get to try this method in october and i can see how it works out.
