Has or does anyone go on outfitter hunts?

I will be moose hunting in a couple years in Canada so it is law. Outside of that I prefer to do my own thing. If others want a guide it is no big deal to me.

I haven't but am hoping to hook up with a big woods guide in the next season or two simply to learn. A successful big woods hunter I know said he has gone a couple times with same outfitter. The first time he went shot the first good buck he saw and spent the next 4 days helping him scout and move/hang stands..Learned a ton that really applied to the big woods where we hunt.

I hear so many horror stories of shady practices I'm real shy about deer outfitters.

I plan on on moose hunting in Canada when a certain unit opens back up and a guide is required there as well. Luckily I know that person from prior fishing and grouse hunting trips...
