Help with second area

Unread postby DaveT1963 » Thu Jan 15, 2015 5:41 am

Attaching a link to pic of second area. The area I can hunt is outlined in yellow. Mainly cotton wood, hackberry and other hardwood trees - lots of grassy areas and briars. Very few oaks. Only access I have will be from South. Heavily hunted around wheat field but don't think it gets much pressure at north end. I am going to scout this area this weekend would appreciate any areas that jump out to you as good bedding areas.

I would like to see a more zoomed in view of the north and the south end...

Dan, thanks for the help.

The first picture is the North end

Second picture is south end. I can hunt the wooded area across the farm road on south end

I would scout the blue line and pay close attention to the areas marked in red.

Thanks Dan - what am I doing wrong when it comes to posting pics? can't seem to get the pic to load properly.

On the picture, would it be worth it to check out the patch of trees just southwest of the p[on on north end in middle of picture? This area appears to be higher elevation and rather thick.

There was definitely buck sing (rubs/tracks) in all these areas but still cannot find individual beds. The most likely spot I found was the middle area on east edge. I found lots of droppings and a few rubs in a small brushy cluster of trees. I found a really good tree where I can sneak into right where the two creeks merge - I believe the bucks might be staging here until they enter the wheat field?
