I mainly hunt from my LW hand climber and as everyone knows you can't climb every tree out there. I was thinking, I wonder how well it would work if I bought sticks and used them with my climber platform? I guess I am being cheap but has anyone done this?

Re: Climber with sticks
It would work but I would be afraid of the stand kicking out when stepping on or off. Wouldn't be nearly as stable as a strap and cam lock.

Re: Climber with sticks
Very good point. Maybe could take a strap with hooks on both ends to help stabilize it. Thanks for the input.

Re: Climber with sticks
I've used the sticks with other climbers. It works fine, just have to be careful stepping in but I've never had any issues. But definitely make sure u are tied off when stepping in

Re: Climber with sticks
I've done it many times with my submit viper. Often a tree is quite climbable after the first 5-10 feet. I've used two sticks, then climbed the rest of the way and worked great.

Re: Climber with sticks
I use several summit bushmaster climbers as lockons. Just rachet strap them so they don't move
