I rarely sit down unless it is an all day hunt. Ironically, this years kill was sitting. Practice everything you can think of.

Re: How do you shoot?
Dropping your bow arm instead of bending at the waste creates an accuracy problem. I would think a seated position would force you to bend at the waste.
Nothing is perfect and I understand most of the time you need to stand. Just sayin... Does it make sense to shoot while seated when possible? My opinion is yes. As long as you know for sure you can.

90% shot sitting.... if you stand you need to remember to bend at the waist.

Re: How do you shoot?
Always standing, I usually stand in the evenings and sit during long mornings or all day sits, but first thing I do when I hear or see a deer is grab bow, stand and position for a shot. I will shoot when sitting at ground level during turkey season, but it never felt natural to sit and shoot from a tree.

Re: How do you shoot?
Wanted to add that even though I prefer to stand for a shot I am definately more accurate sitting. Give it an honest try and you will see how much more stable you are. Lot's of extra movement adding those unstable hip and knee joints into the shot process.

Re: How do you shoot?
The majority of my time in a stand is Spent standing. I've never shot a deer while sitting but I do practice it just in case.

Re: How do you shoot?
Prefer to sit for all tree stand shots.
I practice that as well, and have been doing it forever. I feel it really limits movement while waiting but especially when prepping for the shot.
Pretty sure most new or less experienced hunters would double the number of deer seen if they sat the whole time on stand. I've shared stands with a few, and fidgeting is way worse when standing....Way Worse!
IMO

Re: How do you shoot?
Prefer sitting, most morning kills were seated. More afternoon stand killls are standing, cause i stand for the last 45 min of prime time. Practice out of a treestand at home. Helps to practice with a buddy and take turns in the treestand while the other guy pulls arrows, saves all the up and down. As others have said must bend at the waist when standing up.
