Always learned more and grew more as a hunter in buckless years than buck years.
Take those lemons and make lemonade....do some scouting today!

I went buckless in NE(being selective) and MA(didn't catch up to one in the snow). I couldn't even fill my spoonbill tag in NE either...

What's a spoonbill? It's a catfish down here and you certainly don't need a tag

Spoonbill tags are almost as hard to get as Iowa deer tag.

Ahh thanks for posting. Cool looking fish. Spoonbill cats are much fatter and not the fish of choice as far as catfish goes.

Add Bill Winke to the buckless list. :o

Even on prime managed land, the bucks can still give you the slip....

Tag soup for me. I think though that I learned that having limited hunting time can be an advantage in that I can afford to hunt all of my very best spots and not burn them out. I did not do that though this year and spent too much time setting up in marginal spots rather than going for broke every time. I was not aggressive enough!

I think Jim Strader (outdoor columnist, radio broadcaster, expo producer, outdoor television host) and host of the show, Jim Strader Outdoors in Kentucky, is buckles, at least that’s what he said on one of his shows.

Loose scope saved a good bucks life last week. I only have one, possibly two more weekends to get it done in my home state. I can't remember the last time I didn't get a buck, but I have had just as much fun this year as ever... Just less bloody...

Even 100 trail cameras couldnt help me fill my KY buck tag I still have until Jan 19 but dont like my chances.

Truth be told I passed more 125-140 bucks this season than ever. Once you take that next step your gonna eat a tag once in awhile unfortunately
